Volunteers will be positioned at sites around the Toronto area to help our guests find their way to and from various locations in Toronto. They will be positioned at the Toronto Pearson International Airport, Union Station, all hotels, and at all major HOC events.
Volunteer assignments have already begun and will continue through the to Convention (23 June 2018). If you are going to the 2017 Convention in Atlanta, we require several volunteers to staff the Toronto Convention booth in their Hall of Friendship.
Typical assignments will be from 2 to 4 hours on a given day. Anyone desiring to work longer or multiple days will be happily accepted. The variation in hours is dependent on the number of volunteers we get signed up. We are looking for 1,200 volunteers for the duration of the convention.
Orientation and training will take place for all volunteers. You will also receive a Toronto 2018 Rotary vest indicating you as a go to person when on duty at the convention.
All of our volunteer convention requirements are scheduled into shifts. You can select the shifts that you would like to volunteer for. This includes shift day, shift time and even the shift location.
The Rotary International Convention Toronto 2018 will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and the Air Canada Centre in downtown Toronto.
