These are some of the most frequent questions we get asked about volunteering.
They are a group of people that have agreed to help the Convention visitors find a
safe, welcome and enjoyable time in Toronto. They are the face of Toronto to our
visitors and those that will introduce True Canadian Hospitality to our guests.
Any Rotarian or Rotaractor or guest of a Rotarian or Rotaractor that is registered
for the convention and at least 19 years old can be a volunteer.
Volunteers will be positioned at sites around the Toronto area to help our guests
find their way to and from various locations in Toronto. They will be positioned at
the Toronto Pearson International Airport, Union Station, all hotels, and at all
major HOC events.
Volunteer assignments have already begun and will continue through the to Convention (23
June 2018). If you are going to the 2017 Convention in Atlanta, we require several
volunteers to staff the Toronto Convention booth in their Hall of Friendship.
Typical assignments will be from 2 to 4 hours on a given day. Anyone desiring to
work longer or multiple days will be happily accepted. The variation in hours is
dependent on the number of volunteers we get signed up. We are looking for 1,200
volunteers for the duration of the convention.
Orientation and training will take place for all volunteers. You will also receive a
Toronto 2018 Rotary vest indicating you as a go to person when on duty at the

select the shifts that you would like to volunteer for. This includes shift day,
shift time and even the shift location.
